The Beginning (By Ramla Zareen)

It all started about a decade earlier, when after several months of having my breathing restricted, and sense of smell diminished, due to the formation of nasal polyps in my sinuses, a doctor finally recommended an operation. This treatment not only enabled me to fully recover, but also a valuable lesson was learned:

'Good health' and 'a properly functioning body' are among the greatest blessings of God. We should never take these blessings for granted and should always try to avail them for the happiness and well being of others as well as our own selves.

Now ten years later, at the age of 30 years, I continue to thank God for the numerous blessings that He has bestowed upon me. One particular blessing that I greatly treasure is the ability to breath properly and to enjoy the delightful fragrances of this world, both natural, as well as those that are expertly bottled as perfumes...!

  1. I coincidentally came across Polo Ralph Lauren Nr.1 from their big pony collection at Tokyo duty free and found it quite irresistible. Its a blend of masculinity with a touch of sport. Something casual yet classy.

    1. Thanks for your input. One of these days I plan to compile a list of my favourite perfumes for men, and then I will definitely check this one out too...! In the meanwhile, consider few of my favourites when you are buying for female relatives and friends...!

    2. By the way, there is also a Ralph Lauren Big Pony No.1 for Women. I have actually tried it out from a small sample I received while buying some other perfume from Douglas, I liked it in that it was fresh, especially great for summers, but in the end I rejected it from my favourites since it was too citrusy for me. Reminded me of all the times I washed dishes from lemon flavoured washing detergent...! Lolz. But for fans of fresh and citrus perfumes I would definitely recommend it.

  2. Well I definitely will go to a perfume shop as soon as I can to check out the ones I don't know but just read. Great work. Lots of info.
